2016 was a great first year for Rosh Pinah Properties (RPP), preparing the groundwork for solid business in the future – much of which will be drawn from our relationships and networks around Southern Africa – Patricia Potgieter, Director of Rosh Pinah Properties.
In Western Zambia, we are pursuing, together with our partners SADEA and ResourceCo, a unique eco-tourism and sustainability project which embraces the conservation of the fauna and flora in the area, “green” agricultural development and food production, green power generation harnessed from the mighty Zambezi River, as well as tourism. We are in discussion with the Zambian High Commission in South Africa, and prominent Zambian citizens are members of the development team. RPP is also exploring some development opportunities in Lusaka and Livingstone.
In Namibia, RPP is involved in a communications and ICT project, which will create tremendous job opportunities in the country and indeed Africa as a whole. While in Swaziland, we are in exploratory talks to develop an urban housing precinct and conference centre, and similar property developments in Lesotho.
Closer to home, we have tendered for and won a multi-billion rand mixed-use development in Tshwane, which will benefit the whole of Southern Africa. This is now in contractual negotiation and we look forward to commence with the development during 2017.
Finally, we are currently forming a BEE alliance with a group of women, which will open up new opportunities in the property development, interior decorating, facilities management and advertising space.
All in all lots to look forward to in 2017!
Patricia Potgieter – Director RPP
